Most bloggers believe posting often will create better optimization and more readers. The reason they believe this is due to the assumption that posting often demonstrates a real commitment to their blog. They also believe it results in visitors and readers coming back to see and read their updates time after time. However, posting too often will more likely have just the opposite effect.
When readers visit a blog for the second time, a lot of times they are looking for the same post to re-read or something similar. Forcing your readers to go through a bunch of new posts might be a deterring factor, instead. Normally if this happens, they will just use a search engine to find the article and not land on your main page. Posting too often can also result in lesser quality posts due to writer’s fatigue and could become less interesting.
So, instead of posting several times a week, only post once a week or just when you feel you have something interesting or useful to write about. Put some thought in your posts, give your readers a reason to revisit, and always avoid bombarding them with useless noise. Focus your efforts more on writing about a few good topics. This is what really keeps your readers coming back for more.

Social media sites are an easy way to generate traffic, but you should always spend more time optimizing your blog and posts to rank high with search engines. That’s where people first look for a product or service to purchase. So, always set aside ample time to perform a few scheduled and simple search engine optimization tasks on a continuous basis.

To do this successfully, list titles that are relevant to your topic, refer to your topic keywords throughout your posts, and tag all your posts properly. For the best optimization, you should submit a few articles to the most reputable directories for every post you write. This will create thousands of one way links to your blog and help your ranking soar very quickly.
Social bookmarking and news sites also work great for this purpose. However, only submit quality posts and only submit to the most relevant sites. Submitting to sites that are not “Google approved,” and are not indexed appropriately, will only result in lowering your rank or get you listed as a spammer, instead. So be careful how you post, how often you post, and where you post, too!
Lastly, utilize Google’s webmaster tools and check which posts are showing up in the search engine result pages. Go back and optimize them again, add more keywords, write a catchier title, tag them correctly and elaborate a little more on your topic. Staying true to your mission will result in more business, more readers, and more amazing opportunities coming your way.
