When I was teaching one of my Marketing classes, I developed this “buying cycle info-graphic” of the buying habits of shoppers in a handout. Since the attendees showed so much interest, I thought I would share this with all of you, too.

How long does it take for a prospective client to buy? The following chart takes you through what goes through someone’s mind after being exposed to various marketing messages.

The list of marketing tools used include contact through various sources, such as advertising, commercials, networking, newsletters, direct mail, email, note cards, social media, TV and radio interviews, personal contact, speaking, articles, videos, press releases, etc. This information was compiled using case studies from various marketing research reports.
