There are many elements to consider when optimizing your website.
But, there are some elements that Google takes into consideration even more when ranking a site.
Here is a list of some of the more important ones that I have found to take very seriously if you want your site to remain high in the rankings:
You don’t have to go crazy on this one… but you should have some sort of activity at least a couple of times a month.
Keywords and Descriptions
All pages and posts should have the appropriate keywords and a description added to help in indexing your site properly. Long gone are the days of “stuffing” these in order to manipulate the rankings – so choose wisely.
Social Media Connections
Your connection to and activities and interactions reflect well on your website if you have branded your posts on both correctly. That means what you post on social media should help lead your audience back to your site.
If your website is out of date and the back-end processes have not been updated properly and often, the search engines consider your site either abandoned or with safety issues. So make sure you have the latest technology installed at all times.
A website without the proper address and complete contact information listed are ranked differently than those that do list their information. Especially so for local optimization.
And last on my “Quick List” of important elements is the listing of other links on your site. But make sure they are links that are not broken and ones that lead to other high ranking sites.
Well, that’s my list of important elements that all the search engines look for… what are yours? I would love to know, so leave a comment below.
To your hugely prosperous success!
