Appreciation Squad

How the 1st Responders Appreciation Squad started

In 2023, God led Carmen Wisenbaker to start the “1st Responders Appreciation Squad” where she is the Volunteer Coordinator. The group shows 1st Responders (Firefighters, EMT’s, and Police Officers in the Humble, Texas community), appreciation for their service through a Prayer team, a Card Writing team, and an Appreciation Basket team that delivers baked goods and tasty treats periodically to each station.

Our main objective is to lift the spirits of our 1st Responders and to let them know our community is behind them one hundred percent. We always try to find ways to encourage and support our 1st Responders in any way we can. They are very important to our community and we are so grateful they do what they do.

Showing gratitude and respect to those that serve our communities (in the Humble and Atascocita, Texas communities) in our times of need.

Thank you to our faithful Police Officers, Firefighters, and EMT’s for always being there when we need you the most. We are so thankful for you!

We show thankfulness to our 1st Responders through various teams:
• Prayer Ministry
• Card Ministry
• Appreciation Basket Ministry
• And various projects throughout the year.

Are you looking for a fun program for your next meeting?

Carmen is available to speak at your group’s next meeting on: “What are your G.I.F.T.‘s? Discover your own unique strengths and your true ‘Super-Powers’!” This program helps those attending identify their uniqueness by using a fun, pick-and-choose quiz designed to identify their personality and match it with the right opportunity suited for them. It also helps charity leaders match volunteers with the right position for better volunteer commitment.
